Post‑Doctoral Project Initiation and Exit Review Meeting


On the afternoon of October 15, the post‑doctoral project initiation and exit review meeting of Yongxin Optics was held in Meeting Room 101 of the company. Professors from Zhejiang University and Zhejiang University of Technology were invited as reviewers. Relevant officials from Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security attended the meeting. Mao Lei, Co‑Chairman and General Manager of the company, together with internal enterprise supervisors, took part in the event. Zhang Xuefeng, Manager of the Human Resources & Administration Department, presided over the whole meeting.


At the opening of the meeting, General Manager Mao Lei elaborated on the core significance of the post‑doctoral workstation within the company’s talent strategy. Relying on the post‑doctoral workstation as a key platform, the company aims to attract more outstanding PhD talents to settle in Ningbo and join the enterprise, giving full play to their professional strengths and innovation potential. Meanwhile, he put forward earnest expectations for the post‑doctoral team: research subjects shall be closely aligned with actual corporate demands, promote in‑depth integration of scientific outputs and industrial development, continuously inject innovation momentum into the company, and support technological breakthroughs in high‑end optical instruments.


Agenda 1: Project Initiation Review for Post‑Doctoral Researcher Wu — Targeting Bottlenecks in High‑Speed Microscope Imaging

The first agenda was the project initiation review. Researcher Wu, the 22nd post‑doctoral researcher admitted to the workstation, delivered a detailed report covering research background, orientation and core tasks. His research precisely addresses three key bottlenecks in confocal imaging systems: temporal resolution, spatial resolution and fast three‑dimensional imaging capability, so as to build a high‑throughput, high‑resolution fluorescence microscopy imaging platform.

Project outcomes are expected to greatly improve the competitiveness of domestic confocal microscopes in high‑speed and high‑resolution imaging, featuring notable scientific innovation value and broad industrialization prospects. Review experts conducted in‑depth discussions on project details, clarified follow‑up work plans and optimization directions, and laid a solid foundation for project implementation.

Agenda 2: Three Post‑Doctoral Researchers Complete Their Tenure, Research Outcomes Empower Corporate Development

Subsequently, the meeting moved to the exit assessment session. Researchers Shao, Jiang and Xing, the 17th, 18th and 19th post‑doctoral researchers to complete their tenure at the workstation, delivered solid research outputs and passed the assessment with excellent results:

  • Researcher Shao fully fulfilled all tasks defined in the initiation report. During his tenure, he presided over one Youth Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, published 4 SCI papers and filed 1 national invention patent, providing critical technical support for the company’s intelligent manufacturing upgrading.
  • Researcher Jiang focused on computational microscopy imaging. He presided over one Outstanding Youth Program of Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation and one Youth Innovation Special Project under Fundamental Research Funds for Zhejiang Provincial Universities. He published 1 academic paper and applied for 2 national invention patents, and was awarded the Bronze Prize at Zhejiang Post‑doctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
  • Researcher Xing carried out in‑depth studies on high‑end confocal microscope technologies. He published 1 SCI paper and 1 SPIE conference paper, and obtained 5 national invention patent applications. His findings are of great significance for the independent development of domestic high‑end confocal microscopes with promising application prospects.


After rigorous discussion and comprehensive evaluation, all review experts unanimously approved Researcher Wu’s project initiation, as well as the full‑term exit assessment for Researchers Shao, Jiang and Xing.

In closing remarks, the expert panel highly recognized the construction achievements of Yongxin Optics’ post‑doctoral workstation and raised further expectations for current post‑doctoral researchers. They advised the team to advance research tasks with rigorous academic attitudes, refine research schemes oriented toward corporate practical needs, ensure efficient execution and effective transformation of research outputs, strictly control progress, complete research projects with high quality, and make greater contributions to the company’s scientific‑technological innovation and long‑term growth.
