On March 29, 2026, Ningbo Yongxin Optics Co., Ltd. joined the grand award ceremony of the 2nd Greater Bay Area Shenzhen Cell Photography Contest "Yongxin Cup" 2025. Guided by Shenzhen Association for Science and Technology, and hosted by Shenzhen Biopharmaceutical Promotion Association and Cell & Gene Industry Alliance, the ceremony was held during the 4th Xunzhen Cell and Gene Industry Development Forum.
The "Yongxin Cup" Greater Bay Area Shenzhen Cell Photography Contest aims to build a platform for researchers and industry practitioners. Participants capture stunning cell images with Nexcope NCF1000 confocal microscope from Yongxin Optics for public exhibition. Combining scientific methodology with artistic conception, the contest showcases technical capabilities, artistic attainments and spiritual outlook reflected in micro‑world exploration. Audiences can perceive the "beauty of science" through visual impact, and appreciate the "beauty of life" embodied by cells.
As the fundamental unit of life, cells conceal biological mysteries and the romance of scientific research within the micro‑cosm. Launched in July 2025, this contest carried out offline shooting & submission activities at Shenzhen Bay Laboratory, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) and Southern University of Science and Technology, accumulating numerous brilliant moments and high‑quality entries. After scoring by expert jury and public online voting, 1 First Prize, 3 Second Prizes, 6 Third Prizes, 10 Excellence Awards and 3 Outstanding Video Awards were selected.

Huang Shixian — Neon Stamen This fluorescence image captures the stamen of ixora, dominated by blue‑green fluorescence. The floral‑shaped structures bloom like starbursts, while slender stems wind as liquid streams of light. Blending biological morphology with futuristic aesthetics, the frame resembles a slice from a cyborg plant — presenting both the ingenuity of nature and the psychedelic glow of artificial neon.
