Nexcope Conducts Training on Structured‑Light Sectioning Microscope for the Planned Joint Laboratory with Ningbo University Health Science Center

On the afternoon of May 14, a special training session for structured‑light sectioning microscope was held at Ningbo University Health Science Center. Application engineers from Nexcope delivered on‑site lectures and hands‑on operational training, offering comprehensive technical guidance to help faculty and students master equipment operation.

Training Session

This training marks a key step to deepen university‑enterprise cooperation and collaborative innovation. It aims to enhance the service and technical capacity of the large‑scale instrument platform, promote development, application and scenario testing of domestic instruments, and strengthen research‑technical ties with local Ningbo enterprises.

In April this year, Ningbo University Health Science Center and Nexcope reached an agreement to build a joint laboratory. Under the plan, Nexcope will supply its latest prototypes for the center’s large‑scale instrument platform. Both sides will carry out in‑depth cooperation in medical teaching and scientific research to realize complementary resources and mutual benefits.

Microscope Imaging

The core device for this training, the NOS1000 structured‑light sectioning microscope, is Nexcope’s new‑generation fluorescence microscope. Built upon conventional fluorescence microscopy, it adopts innovative structured‑light technology to greatly improve optical resolution and enable 3D imaging unavailable on standard fluorescence microscopes. It delivers partial functions of laser confocal microscopes while retaining fast large‑tile stitching imaging advantages of fluorescence systems. Cost‑effective and versatile, it meets diverse demands in medical teaching and research.

The Health Science Center plans to integrate the NOS1000 onto the university’s shared large‑instrument platform for access by all faculty and students, with professional technical support to boost research and teaching across relevant disciplines.
