Time:2026-07-29

Amid the summer heat in Wuhan, talents gathered at Nanhu Campus of Wuhan University of Technology from July 25‑28, 2026. Teachers, students and expert judges from 268 universities nationwide attended the 4th "Nexcope Cup" National College Student Metallography Conference. Guided by the Materials Teaching Steering Committee of Higher Education Institutions under the Ministry of Education, the event was exclusively titled by Ningbo Yongxin Optics Co., Ltd.. The company supplied metallographic microscopes and technical support for individual contests, team contests and judging sessions to guarantee smooth operation of the conference.

Honors Unveiled, Witnessing Youth Power

As the second track (comprehensive analysis track) of the National College Student Metallographic Skills Competition, this contest challenged participants on metallographic structure observation and comprehensive material analysis. Awards recognized competitors’ dedication and their progress in observation, analysis, teamwork and practical skills.

Technical Exchanges for Microscopy Applications

During the conference, Wang Jiayu, Vice‑Dean of Nexcope Optics Research Institute, delivered a presentation covering the company’s development, contest‑used microscopes and related products, demonstrating domestic microscopy instruments’ performance in metallographic observation, material analysis and university lab teaching.

At the closing ceremony, Yuan Haihui, East China Sales Director of Nexcope Optics, shared insights, bridging industry practice and university teaching.

For individual contests, Jiangnan MV3000 Upright Metallographic Microscopes equipped with the NOW.Lab wireless microscopy interactive system were deployed. Nexcope NM620 Upright Metallographic Microscopes paired with tablet terminals were adopted for team contests featuring on‑site quizzes. Participants observed microstructures and analyzed material properties through competition and collaboration, showcasing professionalism and teamwork. Reliable microscopes and thoughtful technical services from Nexcope Optics supported all competition and judging procedures.
