A powerful tool for materials‑science and geology research, the NP620 uses polarized‑light technology to reveal hidden sample properties. Polarizers enhance observation of birefringent substances, including minerals, polymers, fibres and liquid crystals, to visualize internal structures and stress distribution. Fitted with high‑precision focus knobs and a rotating stage, it enables multi‑angle analysis of specimen optical characteristics. An ideal professional solution for rock analysis, drug‑crystal identification, polymer research and gemstone appraisal.

Polarization-Specific Objectives
Core component of a polarizing microscope. Ensures sharp imaging with stress-free optical design — critical for precise observation. All observed details originate from the sample itself, not optical artifacts.

Adaptable Illumination System
Modular LED and halogen sources swap freely to match sample needs. LED generates little heat, no overheating risk, no cooling fan, ultra-long life, low maintenance. Halogen — the traditional metallographic source — delivers authentic imaging with high user acceptance.

High-Precision Circular Rotating Stage
Purpose-built for polarization. Large diameter, smooth operation. 360° precision scale for accurate sample adjustment. Locking mechanism secures position even for fine work.

Intermediate Tube & Compensators
Built-in Bertrand lens for fast orthoscopic/conoscopic switching; precise interference-image adjustment. 0–360° rotating analyzer for superior contrast. Compatible with diverse compensators to enhance weak birefringence signals. Compensators also enable qualitative analysis of birefringence retardation.

Status Display
Front LCD shows magnification, intensity, color temperature and source status.

Brightness Memory
Remembers illumination per objective; auto-adjusts on switching, reducing fatigue and boosting efficiency.
